HEY THERE! I’m Jessie
Tea-sipping, yoga-loving Mum of 2 with a serious penchant for good books, baked goods & hot baths.
I’m also a Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher, Yoga Instructor and happy living advocate.
I believe that making time for both movement and stillness is vital for maintaining a healthy body and happy mind, that sweat is good for the soul and that burgers, ice-cream and trashy tv are necessary staples for a balanced life.
I’m a woman on a mission…
I’m here to help you reconnect with your mind, body and inner self, to redefine balance so overwhelm becomes a thing of the past.
I WANT TO HELP YOU LIVE A LIFE YOU FREAKING LOVE
WITH LESS STRESS AND MORE JOY!
(Oh, and prove to you that you don’t need to be able to bend like a pretzel, have your own guru or even utter an ‘Om’ to reap the benefits of yoga and meditation… All you have to do is start).
Leading a happy, healthy life has always been important to me.
But that doesn’t mean it’s come easy. Over the years, I have faced a host of ongoing health issues like chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, IBS, endometriosis, hormone imbalances, anxiety & depression. I have also definitely been stuck in that grass- is-always-greener, ‘not so in love with myself or my life right now’ rut.
After spending several years continually putting up with feeling tired, stressed out and unwell….I decided enough was enough. I shifted my focus and funnelled all my time, money and energy into my own wellbeing. I explored so many different types of exercise, natural therapy, relaxation techniques and self development tools to try to create some lasting, positive change. The fire in my belly was officially stoked.
Then I turned this passion into my career. I got myself qualified and launched my business as Yoga & Meditation Instructor. Being the personal development junkie that I am, I soon added PT, Pilates Instructor & Health Coach to the mix.
Finally I felt like I was on the right track and the healthy, balanced lifestyle I so desperately craved was now a reality.
My pregnancy with Lola was a rough one and then once she was born I was rocked by crushing anxiety. I had regular panic attacks, the brain-fog arrived and just didn’t leave. That healthy, balanced lifestyle I had worked so hard to create went straight out the window and didn’t seem like it would ever return.
In my pregnancy with Lucas, a combination of Hyperemesis Gravidarum, severe SPD, pre-eclampsia and placental dysfunction resulted in me going into labour at 35 weeks. The whole experience did a total number on me mentally. I lost all faith in my body and my self.
I felt like I should have been able to do things better.
Been able to have used my prior skills and knowledge to maintain a healthy,
fit pregnancy and better manage my anxiety.
I felt like I had failed.
I loathed my body for it’s inability to not keep it together and my headspace was less than ideal. This was not the way I wanted to live. This was not the way I wanted to parent. So once again, things had to change.
I embarked on a total headspace and healthy habit overhaul. I made it my mission to re-learn how to move my body in ways that felt good. I discovered how to keep my energy in check and manage my mindset in a way that suited the hectic nature of mum life. I juggled, experimented, re-prioritised, let go.
Now I can honestly say that I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. It doesn’t mean that I never get stressed, that anxiety doesn’t re-appear from time to time or that I’ve got it all figured out 100% of the time.
But, I am able to better support myself and bounce back faster when these things do happen, and that’s a total win in my books.
Now my aim is share my passion for all things health, wellbeing and happy living with as many busy mamas as I can.
I want to help you reconnect with your mind, body and inner self, to redefine balance so overwhelm becomes a thing of the past and to help you better manage the mum-life-happy, healthy human juggle.
I want to help you take care of your energy, let go of old habits that no longer serve you and create new ones that will support you in staying grounded, creating a greater sense of balance or calm and raising your freaking vibe.
To empower you to start prioritising self care (whatever that looks like for you), start moving your body because it’s what makes you FEEL GOOD (not because you think you have to) and to start creating more space in your weeks for the things that really light you up.
STRESS LESS, LIVE HAPPY!
